Calculator Methodology
Last Updated: May 11, 2026
SamCalculator is a precise multi-calculators publisher. Every tool on this site uses a published, peer-reviewed formula — never a blackbox approximation. This page lists the exact formula and source references for every calculator we currently publish. For our broader review, correction, and conflicts-of-interest standards, see our Editorial Policy.
Our Source Hierarchy
When two sources conflict, we prefer them in this order:
- US government and regulator publications (CDC, NIH, USDA, IRS, BLS, Federal Reserve)
- WHO, FAO, and other international government bodies
- Professional bodies (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, ACSM, ACOG, American Heart Association)
- Peer-reviewed research (PubMed-indexed, preferring meta-analyses)
- Industry-standard research (Vanguard, Morningstar, NRF, Adobe Analytics, S&P)
